INTERNET BANKING CONSUMER DISCLOSURES POLICY
- PURPOSE: The Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (“E-Sign Act”) effective October 1, 2000 authorizes institutions to provide electronic disclosures if prior customer consent is properly obtained. The Federal Reserve Board has promulgated rules for which compliance becomes mandatory on October 1, 2001, for those institutions which elect to provide electronic disclosures.
