Fraud Prevention Service (Falcon)

Credit card fraud can often be identified and stopped before you’re even
aware of it.

Members Preferred Credit Union is partnered with Falcon. Falcon is on the watch 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year helping prevent the unauthorized use of your card
information.

Suspicious card activity may be approved or it may be declined. In either case, Falcon will
immediately try to contact you using the home/cell phone number linked to your Members
Preferred Credit Union account. The purpose of the call is to verify the suspicious purchase(s).
If you cannot answer the call, Falcon will leave a message.

If the phone number left on your voice mail does not match this number, it’s not a legitimate
message. Falcon will verify your identity, but they will never ask you for your card number,
expiration date of your card or the security code on the back of your card.

If Falcon doesn’t hear back from you within 48 hours of calling, your card will be blocked from
use as a precautionary measure. If Falcon has blocked your card, you may call them to un-block
it or you may call Members Preferred Credit Union during business hours and we’ll be happy to
assist you.

This service is a valuable tool in the fight against fraud. However, in order to benefit from this
important service, you must make sure you always maintain current contact information. When
you move or change phone numbers, notify us immediately so we can update that information.

Visa Debit card and Credit card Traveling Notification/Fraud Suppression Monitoring

Please contact the credit union prior to traveling. This safeguards our members from any potential unauthorized activity from happening while traveling.
